There are a LOT of options for buying a T-shirt — we know this! The reason we started ANTICS was that the general quality and durability of tees had become so hit and miss, it was driving us mad.
Print-on-demand (POD) online shops are easy to set up. All you need is an email, a couple of artwork ideas, and some internet knowledge. From there, consumers are ordering from a business that will literally never touch the T-shirt you end up receiving.
They generally use Direct-to-Garment printing, which can crack and fade faster (especially on darker shirts), with third party printers in large factories anywhere in the world. Sometimes they use heat-transfer vinyl, which feels like wearing a big plastic patch! The quality of T-shirts from POD online shops is also like a lottery - some are okay, but many are poor. All this combines to create a product you can’t always be 100% sure will last, look good, or give you value for money. We have learnt this from experience!
At ANTICS, we strive to be better. Our goal is to take service back to how it used to be: selling a product we’ve had a hand in at every step of the process. We’ve hand-selected our blank shirt supplier after trialling many manufacturers. Our T-shirts are minimum 180 GSM, 100% cotton, and pre-shrunk to minimise shrinkage. They are the highest quality - built to last.
From there, we do the rest in Brisbane. Designs are originals, created to look cool, a little edgy, and wearable anywhere. There’s no limit to what we can make if you’re after a custom design — perfect for one-off creations, cruisy work shirts for staff, or teams heading off on a footy trip.
We print on our own Direct-to-Film (DTF) printer, then hand-press every shirt ourselves. We genuinely love the process and knowing exactly what we’re sending our customers is crucial in ensuring you get a tee you’ll own for years.
Shipping is the way it should be: you order, we make it the next day and send it straight to you. No waiting around for weeks while your POD shirt is pinged around the globe, when all you really want is to wear your new T-shirt.
